One Spencer

The Spencer Club was formed in 1872 when Earl Spencer (great grand uncle of Diana Princess of Wales) permitted the Club founders to portion off a section of Wandsworth Common. In 1903 the Club set up in what is now our current home at Fieldview SW18.

The Spencer Club began with Cricket and Tennis, then in 1905, Hockey was added to our growing list of sports. Later, Squash and Lacrosse in 2000 joined the Spencer family and as recently as 2017 Netball became our sixth sport.

The Spencer Club now offers over 3,000 people of all ages competitive and friendly sport. We pride ourselves on our community spirit and being inclusive while offering a safe and fair environment for people to learn and enjoy their sports.

The Spencer Club is a truly multi-sport club, but at our heart we are One Spencer.
