Court Spencer 1st vs David Lloyd (Cheam) - 06/02/08

Miraculously, Trent had managed to pull together five faces for our first home game of 2008, thanks mainly to the influx of new talent in the form of Paul Claybourne and Paul Quartly, recently joined members. But because of the rules which prohibit new players after a certain cut-off, Paul Claybourne's name for the evening was Paul Clarke, and Paul Quartly became Andrew Kinsey-Quick. So one Paul was Paul, and the other was Andrew. Got that? It was all a bit much for our totemic coach, Graeme, who enthusiastically shouted "Come on Paul" to the Paul who was Andrew. Fortunately none of the opposition picked up on this, as they were all watching the other game, and their chap on court was being run ragged by Paul. Sorry, Andrew.

Male Squash Pro Spencer 1st vs Warlingham 4th - 14/11/07

Last night saw our third meeting with Warlingham in 6 months after honours had been shared evenly in the Summer Leagues. Conditions on court were on the cold side in comparison to Willingham's sweltering courts much to their displeasure. Drive and drop tactics proved most successful on the night as in previous winter matches.

The evening started badly when thanks to various passengers* / leaves* / bricks* / pushchairs* (*delete as appropriate) on the line most trains to Cheam for Spencers away fixture against David Lloyd were heavily delayed.
